Your favourite dance music website might now go by the name of Ears To The House, but some things aren’t going to change so dramatically. This column, just like before, will appear on Mondays – the only difference now is it will cover a far wider range of music from this vast genre than before.

Anyway, let’s get down to business. This week, we’re only going back two years. In fairness, 2020 is probably not a year many will remember too fondly – but labels continued to keep the scene going by releasing music, despite there being very few clubs open. Detroit’s Visillusion, run by the highly underrated Thomas Barnett, was one of them.

At the start of the summer, the label released “Seein’ U” by Barnett himself and France’s Matt Sugar R, real name Mathieu Vidot. All the mixes are worth checking of this track. It’s infectious, builds up steadily in the way many records emanating from Detroit do and defies categorisation. See what you think…
