All the way back on March 31st this year, I blogged about the fact Todd Terry’s Facebook page had been hacked. I then mentioned this again on May 9th, pointing out that the hacker seems to have got bored on April 4th and decided to stop posting. So, what’s happened in the nearly two and a half months which have elapsed since?
Er, nothing. The page still remains in its frozen state since the hacker decided it wanted to do other things with its sad, pathetic life – and Todd Terry has still not been able to get his page back. Even worse is the fact Facebook does not even allow others to report that a page has been hacked, so his fans can’t even help him out.
So what could Mark Zuckerberg be doing that’s more important than helping Todd Terry get control of his page back? Er, posting pictures of dogs is the answer, such as this one…
It seems the only ways to get Facebook to take notice of something is to either be friends with someone within the company – the higher up, the better – or you’ve got to be a member of the press. Now, the definition of bloggers seems to be vary, depending upon where you look – some people consider us journalists. So I took a punt and sent the Facebook press department an email asking them to see if they can help.
I’m not exactly hopeful. But I’ll let you know if I hear anything…
