I apologise for the delay in getting to this subject. I meant to write about it earlier in the week, but l can only physically publish so much in any one day. Despite the impression some people may be under, Amateur’s House is actually a one man band. And I do have other things to do too…
Now, this blog is a big fan of The Secret DJ. And I suspect he’s a little bit of a fan of this blog, because he started following me late last year before Amateur’s House became what it is today. He occasionally shows up with useful bits of information about subjects I write about, or to correct the odd mistake.
But since this summer, he’s had an absolutely torrid time of things. Now, he had Covid-19 last year – he had a rough time with it, but he was ultimately alright. Then in July of this year, the pesky Delta variant caught up with him. And this time, things were even rougher – he ended up in hospital and on a ventilator for a few weeks.

However, fate has thrown up even more cruelty. He was involved in an accident lately and a subsequent X-ray revealed a number of brittle bones – this was the legacy of spending six weeks in an induced coma on a ventilator. So he’s launched a second crowdfund – he details the full story in considerable detail there.
So, once again, my appeal to my readers is this – give what you can to a man with commitment to the truth, who isn’t afraid to call out the shambles they call a dance music scene. At the time of writing, there’s just under £4800. Let’s see that increase…
