Welcome to another instalment of DJs Playing Badly – our column where, each Sunday, we take a look at DJs who have committed some kind of fail. Perhaps a totally messed up mix transition or they’ve failed to create any kind of atmosphere. You get the idea.

This week, it’s a clip that literally caused our jaws to drop at Ears To The House HQ. When we first received it, our editor was convinced that this was so ridiculous and far fetched that there was simply no way it was genuine. Does the Israeli Army seriously have a DJ to keep the troops motivated amidst the current war – and have they really got nothing else to do?

Well, the answer appears to be that, at the bare minimum, that they have at least one DJ amongst the ranks. Whilst soldiers in the First World War had to make do with trench newspapers and propaganda leaflets to keep them motivated, Israel has a DJ to maintain military morale.

Casting aside thoughts about how this soldier’s ability to camouflage himself from Hamas is somewhat compromised by the presence of DJing equipment, haven’t they got other things to get on with at the moment? Words honestly fail us…
