So, the Reading Festival is under the impression that they’re going ahead with an event this year. So much so that several national newspapers ran articles last week on the subject.

It’s a pity, then, that no one thought to check with the local council whether this event is going ahead. Final approval has not yet been granted – and if it isn’t, no event will take place even if the Johnson administration’s hopelessly enthusiastic plan to reopen everything (in England anyway) by June 21st.

Never believe everything that you see written – especially in newspapers.
