Carl Cox has been DJing for longer than I’ve been alive. He started as a mobile DJ playing disco music back in 1977 – and during the late 1980s, he was as well known for his energetic sets as he was for his use of three turntables. This was extremely unusual at the time.
So if anyone knows his music, it’s him. He was there when all these different types of dance music came around for the first time – and he’ll probably remember most of those records well. In the days of vinyl, you had to know the arrangements of your tracks – no waveforms to help you out in those days!
Recently, he did a drum and bass mix and stuck it on Mixcloud Select. Amidst the usual comment, there was this – which has invariably been screenshotted and shared across social media. Theta Burn doesn’t mince their words here…
For his part, Carl Cox was an absolute gentleman when he replied on Facebook to this…
But DJ Pierre wasn’t quite so nice…
He will never be the one on the decks, so all he ‘CAN’ do is criticize the one on the decks. He has just exposed himself as this being the peak moment of his entire life. I trashed @Carl_Cox on Twitter! What a #tool 🤷🏽♂️Imagine the miserable life he has to go back to? 🤮

Curiously, several of Theta Burn’s social media has vanished since this started spreading. It’s going to take some time to cool down after this flaming…
[…] I do it. But I also consider myself fair. I try to get back to stories wherever possible – so remember my post on June 18th about Carl Cox having a drum and bass mix […]
