There are those within the dance music world who think it’s now time to give Russian DJ Nina Kraviz a break. So what if she consistently refuses to express a clear view on the Ukraine war? What does it matter if all she can concoct, even as she starts losing lucrative gigs, is this pile of word salad?
Nastia might have something to say on that. On April 9th, she posted a long statement on Instagram all on the subject of an interview – presumably an attempted rehabilitation which never happened. As ever, the useless dance music press ignored the story – only taking an interest after Clone Records dropped her label Trip Recordings due to her alleged pro-Putin views.
Their interest, as ever, was fleeting – if it’s not written down in a handy cut and paste format, this is always the way. But Nastia isn’t one to let go and last night published this story on her Instagram…
Kraviz must surely be starting to wonder at this stage why she didn’t state her views from the outset of this conflict. Instead, she’s in this circle where she can constantly be criticised – with no obvious way to break the cycle…
