Ears To The House has spent a lot of time over the past year writing about Detroit techno, its artists and its history. We’ve learnt about the skulduggery of some of the names behind the genre – but one of the positive things about all this research is we’ve also encountered a lot of music that we otherwise wouldn’t have.
One of those people whose discography we’ve become much more familiar with is Blake Baxter – whose role in the early days of Detroit techno is underestimated. Like a lot of techno from those days, there’s a lot of variety in there – all the way from slower and funkier material to the harder stuff.
This one is somewhere in the middle and is called “The Sexual Deviant”. Do enjoy…
