Here’s Three They Made Earlier: 23rd January 2023

We’ve been thinking over the Christmas break at Ears To The House about things we could do to improve our offering to you, our loyal readers. We never take our readership for granted – there’s plenty of other material out there which you could spend your time viewing, after all.

So today, we’re pleased to reveal our Monday column Here’s One They Made Earlier is now called Here’s Three They Made Earlier. It’s the same nostalgia trip as we offer every Monday night and have done since the Amateur’s House days, but now three times its original size.

First up this evening, it’s something on an underground tip from 1994. Xaviera Gold is on the vocals of “Good Luv”, Derrick Carter and Chris Nakuza on the dub…

Next, it’s a track from 2001 which used to give aural pleasure to clubbers and aural nightmares to DJs – that one-note synth running pretty much all the way through would make it a nightmare to mix out of. Presenting the Parris Mitchell sampling “Compass” by Dave Clarke…

And finally tonight, it’s back to 1999 for a moment in time by Brian Varga and Terry Mullan – they’ve done a LOT in their musical careers, look them up. The internet can’t seem to agree on whether this track is called “Phreakydeaky” or “Running” – consensus at Ears To The House HQ based on our collective memories is the latter, but you can decide…

More memories from days recently gone by to days long gone next week…
