This was a real find this week. There’s just something very authentic about the vocals on this song and all the remixes here work very well. If I had to choose a favourite, the SoulLab guys are probably just a little bit more playful than the rest on their take.

Neil Pierce & Hanlei – Hey Child (Rhemi Music)
Rhemi Music used to be a frequent outlet for quality house music, but content has got notably thin on the ground since March last year. I wonder what happened around then? Anyway, Hanlei deliver the usual impressive vocals, as you’d expect, and a pro like Pierce was never likely to go wrong with this.
