Has he been busy trying to fix his sink? DJ Sneak STILL hasn’t taken his music off Traxsource – and his mission won’t be finished until August 2023

Some people appear to be under the impression that I don’t like DJ Sneak or view him as a figure of fun. Quite the contrary is true, as a matter of fact.

I believe that it takes a lot of talent to create an entire career off the backs of the work of Cerrone, Carol Williams, Teddy Pendergrass, the Jackson Five, Double Exposure, Chaka Khan, MFSB, Diana Ross, Yazoo, Sylvester and countless others – but DJ Sneak has managed it.

One can only assume that a man, who a few years ago, criticised other producers for doing the same as he’s done since the 1990s, would have at least cleared and paid all the samples that he’s used. But I’m somehow not convinced.

Anyway, a while ago, he made his latest tirade against digital stores and promised to remove his music from them. So I thought I’d do a public service and help Mr Sneak to keep his promise by occasionally checking how many are left on Traxsource.

I would do all the others too, but I’m not paid enough for that.

At the last time I checked – back on 9th March – he had 575 records still on the site. This would have meant Traxsource Freedom Day would have been on approximately March 18th 2023.

As of this morning, he has 572 records still listed. This pushes DJ Sneak’s Traxsource Freedom Day back to August 13th 2023.

Why do I get the feeling that Sneak wasn’t being serious?
