Those of us living in much of the northern hemisphere might have noticed it’s rather hot at the moment. In Europe, Berlin is expected to see 34°C today, with 39°C expected in London. Stateside sees similar and even higher numbers, with another wave of hot weather brewing over Asia.
Amidst this sweaty backdrop, concern for how more vulnerable members of society will manage in the unusually high temperatures makes some sense. Naturally, some people do go a little overboard in their advice at times like this – but most just share these things out of concern for their fellow citizens.
Something which those who are into dance music – which is meant to be all about all being equal, as the romantics forever tell us – should surely understand, right? Er, step forward, Goldie…
If the image Goldie shared was authentic, Ears To The House would sympathise with his scaremongering claim. There’s just one problem – it isn’t. So says Aidan McGivern, the Met Office meteorologist who created the temperature colour scales used in their forecasts. An eight tweet thread by McGivern confirms the photo is rubbish…
This is something which a few people do mention in the responses of the now deleted post – but given a subsequent story in which he tells those who disagree with him to “f*** off”, it suggests he wasn’t in a listening mood at the time.

We’re just glad the weather in London is due to go down to a more sensible 23°C by Friday…
