Welcome to another instalment of DJs Playing Badly – our column where, each Sunday, we take a look at DJs who have committed some kind of fail. Perhaps a totally messed up mix transition or they’ve failed to create any kind of atmosphere. You get the idea.

This week, it’s the turn of Mochakk to sit in dance music’s favourite ducking stool. The Brazilian, whose real name is Pedro Maia, is one of these names who has seemingly risen from nowhere before the pandemic to now become a feature even on long-established labels such as Nervous. We’re still not quite sure how – but he has to be doing something right.
