As Boris Johnson has a Bank Holiday wedding to Carrie Symonds, is Sacha Lord keen to see lockdown restrictions gone so he can have a big wedding of his own?

This blog is always happy to bat for the institution of marriage. I’m married for over eight years myself. And as much as I suspect stories in the Bank Holiday newspapers about Boris Johnson marrying Carrie Symonds are a dead cat, I do wish the couple well.

It reminded me of something interesting that a source told me about regarding blog favourite Sacha Lord. Back in September 2018, he whisked his then girlfriend Demi McLaughlin down to London where he proposed to her at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in Chelsea. His favourite newspaper, the Manchester Evening News, wrote about it at the time.

My source told me a while ago that their wedding was supposed to take place during 2020, but – in a story so many couples will be able to relate with – the pandemic put a stop to it. It’s unknown whether a date has been set, but it’s understood that both Sacha and his partner are keen to see a big turnout for a big wedding. And why not, eh?

Maybe he’s not just motivated by an urge for Warehouse Project, Patklife and all his other business endeavours to start making him money again, after all…
