The makers of the film God Said Give ‘Em Drum Machines must be wondering when on earth they’re going to catch a lucky break. Because since their movie, 12 years in the making, premiered, the only people giving it any real praise so far are the Detroit Free Press – and they sponsored the movie’s premiere in the city.

As we’ve said before, Ears To The House can’t make a comment on the film itself – quite simply, we haven’t seen it yet. One of our Detroit sources who attended the premiere on Thursday night described it as “utter crap” and “the same tired bull****”, but we remain happy to wait to see it before passing judgement.

But when someone who was actually in the film is telling you he doesn’t like it, we can’t help but wonder whether someone above is trying to tell us something. Step forward, Blake Baxter, who has this to say…
