Add on Sweden’s Karin Dreijer from The Knife, and then the insanely talented British producer Stuart Price to do a Thin White Duke remix of it. You get this…
Next up, it’s one of those records which has a truly never-ending supply of remixes. Most of them are, to be honest, pretty poor – but this one from 2006 at least tries to do something different to all the others. Prolific producer Dave Taylor remixed “Plastic Dreams” by Jaydee, and here’s what he came up with…
Finally for this evening, something unashamedly cheerful from 2004. Italian producer Junior Jack released a track that year called “Stupidisco”, featuring a sample from “Dare Me” by Pointer Sisters. Hott 22 – a duo consisting of Chris Malinchak and Greg Bahary – took an already commercial song in a slightly different, but probably no less commercial direction.
More selections next week…
